Gert,
IF you want to have records in one database reliably find records in
another:
I suggest you use Palm unique record ID values rather than handles or
pointers.
Any of the books on Palm programming give examples for this.
This is the approach we used at WeSync for our Palm apps.

Subject: database:problem with handle after synch
Hi! I hope anyone wants to help me with my troubles.
1.) My App uses a Database (let's say A) where I store Objects that have
handles
to records in another database (B). Everything works fine. I have written a
conduit to synchronize the records of database B and now comes the point.
When
a record grows during hotsynch the handle(from db A) to it isn't valid
anymore of course.
(POSE says free handle) So I have to update the handles in the startroutine,
but
how? I thought about storing the recordindex too, but I need to
know the new size of the record and how can I get that? Any Ideas about this
problem?
Thanks in advance for any help!!!!
Best Regards, Gert
