It sounds like you want to use exception handling here. That's not typically
done in Palm apps, and there isn't usually any need for it, but it's the
approach you take to exit a whole stack of nested procedure calls in a
relatively elegant manner. I'd be asking myself where I really need to do
this before investing any time researching exception handling options for
PalmOS.
