I am still trying to build a shared library using prc-tools 2.0.90 under
Redhat Linux 6.2.
I can build a static library, but that isn't what I require.
I get a failure from ld saying that it can't find "-lscrt"
I put a -v on my gcc command line, which looks like this:
m68k-palmos-gcc -v -shared -o AniwhereLib AniwhereLib.S libawpalm.a
and here is the death blow:
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/m68k-palmos/2.95.2-kgpd/collect2
-L/usr/local/palmdev/lib/m68k-palmos-coff
-L/usr/local/palmdev/sdk/lib/m68k-palmos-coff --embedded-relocs -N -dy -T
/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/m68k-palmos/2.95.2-kgpd/pilot.ld -o AniwhereLib
/usr/local/m68k-palmos/lib/scrt0.o
-L/usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/m68k-palmos/2.95.2-kgpd
-L/usr/local/m68k-palmos/lib /tmp/ccqr4eam.o libawpalm.a -lscrt -lgcc
-lscrt -lgcc
/usr/local/m68k-palmos/bin/ld: cannot open -lscrt: No such file or directory
I get this same error whenever I compile with -shared, no matter what the
other arguments.
Here's what's in my lib directory; you'll notice the absence of "libscrt.a" :
ls -1 /usr/local/m68k-palmos/lib
crt0.o
gcrt0.o
ldscripts
libc.a
libcrt-owngp.a
libcrt.a
libg.a
libm.a
libmf.a
libnfm.a
libnoexcept.a
libstdc++.a
scrt0.o
What do I have to do to make this work? Should I drop back to prc-tools 0.5
or something horrible like that?
Thanks for your time,
