A wireless application is any network application that is designed to be
best used in conjunction with a wireless radio of some kind - i.e. when
a land-line might not be available. To build one, just build an
application that makes a network connection. If the end user uses a
wireless radio to make their network transactions, then presto, you have
a wireless application. All wireless means is just what you might think
- without wires. Yes, IR is a 'wireless' connection, but not a good
choice for a WAN because it requires line of sight. Novatell Wireless,
Symbol, Kyocera, and of course Palm all make palm compatible devices
that allow wireless network connections. Last I checked, Sierra
wireless also makes CDPD (wireless) modems that could be connected to
palms with a little help. Look up CDPD, GSM, CDMA, etc... If what you
mean by "wireless palm application" are "pqa"'s (palm's web clipping),
then look them up at palm's devzone.
