If your client will have substantially different or better 
functionality than the Palm email client, I would do it from scratch. 
You'll spend more time trying to get the Palm client to do what you 
want than you could spend writing fresh code IMHO. Use it as a model, 
somewhat. If your client will be similar, it _may_ be easiest to 
modify the Palm client.

There is no such thing. CodeWarrior is the safest best I believe.

You can't. As far as I know, there is no such thing. All you have is 
the source code.
