AppForge is a nice package for vbasic 6.x 'tho a little expensive.
the runtime is around 50k i'm told. I constantly find myself
embroiled in this argument here. Our basic programmers
use that product and like it.
If you're not talking about leaving the C/C++ language
then don't taint your brain. I've been reading that basic
is going to be phased out due to it's limitiations above
32bit processing. i.e. C# if anyone cares to further
taint a great language. The author of C++ has some
very good arguments against another variant (c#)
written just for an MS platform...
So where is basic going to be in the 64 bit / 128bit
world? Donno... Dont' care personally.
Here's another angle without the RunTime your
program won't work! C is faster and targeted.
