In my case it was as simple as 'hijacking' the home key (setting the
prefLauncherAppCreator preference) to point to my creator ID instead of
'lnch'. I would always consider having a way to go back to the Palm
launcher, however. I would guess (perhaps I'm being naive) that this is
how most 'launchers' do it.

Can someone point me at a resource or an example which shows how to
replace the Palm OS launcher with another launcher application ?
What I wish to achieve is an alternative secure application launcher
which will eventually be burnt into ROM instead of the standard
launcher. Obviously, during development, I would like someway of using
the new launcher without creating a ROM image for emulator !!
