You also have to ensure that your field is not editable. You can also
consider using FldSetTextHandle instead (if field is editable)

I'm using FldSetTextPtr to assign text to a field durring a frmOpenEvent the
data is pulled from a record and manipulated in a local string and the a
pointer to the local string is sent with FldSetTextPtr.. the only problem is
when the user highlights anything from the field it becomes corrupted.
Anyone know of a fix?
