Hello -

As the process of moving Palm's servers out of the 3Com server rooms
continues, we have had some occasional problems. Some people are
experiencing bounces when sending mail to news.palmos.com. This is due
to a DNS record change that happened yesterday, which has not yet fully
been propogated out to all sites on the internet. (DNS records are
cached by ISPs and the frequency of updates is controlled by the ISP,
though usually it is less than a day.)

However, 3Com's mail servers today no longer accept mail for
news.palmos.com as they used to. Therefore throughout the day and
perhaps tomorrow (depending on your ISP), you might get a bounce message
from zircon.3com.com when you send mail to news.palmos.com.

If you send mail and it works, as several are doing, then your ISP has
already updated its DNS cache and you need not worry.

If you are affected, until your ISP's cache has been updated, you can
connect with a news reader to news://news.palmos.com to post messages to
a forum.

Delivery of forum mail to you should be unaffected by this change. We
apologize for the inconvenience.

Regards,
