I agree with Richard that using a gadget to draw fixed stuff like boxes and
lines is pretty easy. I suggest you use the extended gadgets so that you
redraw your stuff on a frmUpdateEventl. That way, if dynamic heap space is
low, and a dialog can't save the pixels under it, you'll redraw your form
properly. To test whether you've got this working, run it on a debug ROM.

in the 3.5 or 4.0 SDK.
