I'm running (and emulating) a m500. In my case, I do actually get an
error and
an invalid handle. I have tried it both on the device and on the
emulator to
make sure my problems are consistent, and they are. I just don't know
exactly
what my consistent problem is so I can fix it.....:-(

What hardware are you running on (or emulating)? This may be totally
unrelated, but on a TRG device with a pre-release Handera 330 ROM
update,
there is a bug which causes VFSFileDBGetRecord to return a normal status
and
a valid handle, but garbage in the chunk the handle points to. This
would
happen when the requested record was more than 64K from the start of the
file.
