Hi,

Some comments to the alarms (from the BigClock author).

That is a good old bug that still bothers me a lot.
Some machines have the problem that they dont turn on when a alarm is
triggered.
Some details are here:

I havent heard anything technical yet what causes the bug or a way to fix it
without a reset. I dont even know if the problem is fixed in the latest OS
release.

Some offical statement from Palm on this issue would be nice.

Thats exatly what i do.
Palm OS can turn on the devcie only on the full minute. That is becuase the
palm sleeps a minute. Then wakes up (without turning the screen on) and does
some low level checks and maintaning things like checking for alarms. Palm
OS does this every minute.

If you need a alarm seconds exact you need to use a trick. Set a alarm on
the full minute before you need it. When the device turns on, set an other
alarm (or wait) till the exact time. One thing that can cause a problem is,
when the auto off is set to 30s. It could happen that the device turns off
again before the alarm time is reached.
