You'll need to open your shared library database, get the resource, then close it. You
could leave the shared library db open all the time, but you'd have to be extremely
careful to avoid resource type and ID conflicts with currently running apps, so this
approach is not recommended (it works safely enough for code resources, but things
like user interface elements can become problematic).
