Left aligning text in the Table

Hi All,
        I am having a scrollable table. Currently I have set the table item type to
label due to this the text that is displayed is right aligned. Can I make
left aligned using the same label data type. Also I do not want the colon(:)
char appended to my text.
        Or I will have to use any other method to do it. Any sample code will be
helpful.
