Switching the unit on and off is NOT the same as a reset. It is just a battery save issue and is largely invisible to your program. If you want to force re-entry of a password inside an application whenever the user powers on the unit you have two options. In OS 4.0 this can be done through the notification manager. Prior to OS 4.0, you have to write a module within a shared library to handle power-on and/or power-off events.
