Exactly that. Palm databases are not like PC/server databases - they
have no metadata, queries or fields beyond that which you provide. You
can use the Sybase stuff to provide all that for you, but it will
therefore not be compatible with what anyone else does.

Most Palm applications that I've seen use the Palm APIs for accessing
Palm databases directly, and therefore Ultralite will not know how to
read them. There is nothing wrong with using Ultralite, but that market
share figure is not 61% of all Palm applications.
