Hi Amritha,
This is the known issue with the Emulator for Palm SDK3.1. In SDK3.5 this
has been resolved. If you want any further clarifications please check the

This is the "ReadMe.txt" file that gives the instructions to how to update
to SDK3.5.
In this file check for the Paragraph given below.
<----The "PalmPlugin" and "PalmPlugin.dll", which reside in your Debugger(s)
folder, has been updated by Metrowerks since the release of CodeWarrior for
Palm OS R6. This update fixes the problem when using Palm OS Emulator and
you receive the following error message. '"UIAppShell" (unknown version)
reports "DataMgr.c, Line:2542, Records left locked in closed unprotected
DB".'---->
So only way you get rid of the problem is update your SDK to 3.5.
