I don't have enough information to help.  I don't understand when you say
that the Server class compiles fine but you get an error back in the class
definition.  Does the Socket or Directory class code include the Server
header?  Maybe that's the problem.

Could you supply a more thorough code listing, with the irrelevant parts
stubbed out or omitted?
