Palm databases do not have fields.  You cannot add one to the built-in
applications (or any application) without rewriting the whole application.

I could go into a whole explanation of why Palm databases are NOT the same
as desktop databases, but I'll link to it instead:

In short, Palm databases have nothing to do with databases like Access and
Oracle.
