Checkmark menu items do not exist on Palm.

The underlying "problem" could be that the person(s) driving the
"requirement" are not sufficiently literate about the target platform to
know that checkmark menu items do not exist on it. Suggest trying to change
the requirement rather than attempting to implement it.
