Can someone help me out with an answer or a pointer on where to find
help on this one please ?
Ive coded and compiled a sample App under GCC. When I install it onto
the emulator and go into the
"App Info" standard menu, my application doesnt appear at all under the
"size" or "records" option. It
does, however, appear under the "version" heading with the version I
gave it in the resource file.
This doesnt seem right because the sample app I based it upon appears
in all three menus once installed,
as youd expect. I have this sample app untouched in the same
environment, so I know thats not the
problem. Obviously some changes I have made are the problem !
Or perhaps I should rephrase this ..... Do I need to pay attention to
any more than the following to have
my app installed correctly :
The icon name in the resource file (ie what the icon appears named
as when installed)
The 4 character creator id in the PRC build step
The same 4 digit creator id in the database create step
Those are the only things Im aware of that could affect the app install.
The app name next to the icon
appears just fine. My app also creates a database with the same (random)
creator id I used in the PRC
build step .... and the database DOES appear in the info "size" and
"records" options ... but still my app
only appears in the "version" menu ?
I also note that my application only receives a system time change
command ONCE I have run it fir the first time after install. This could
be a separate problem, or maybe not ???
Any tips would be greatlty appreciated ....
