POSE Speed vs "Real" Speed

Will something run at the relativly the same speed on POSE as on a 
"real" palm?  Don't have a color one yet and I do not want to waste my 
time porting things to color only to find that even though they flow 
smoothly on POSE, they look "jerky" on a real palm.
