Not that I think that Aaron doesn't really know the meaning of "caveat", but
just to benefit whoever has to rewrite http://www.palmos.com/dev/c.html ...
The Cambridge International Dictionary of English defines caveat as:
caveat noun [C] FORMAL
a statement which limits a more general statement; proviso
And, Allwords.com says:
caveat (n.) ca.ve.at
1. a warning or caution; admonition.
2. Law. a legal notice to a court or public officer to
suspend a certain proceeding ... [snip]
Venturing even further off-topic, I would like to point out that
www.onelook.com makes it very easy to look up words in hundreds of on-line
dictionaries.
