My apologies for the off topic post, but I figured a lot of you have cases
for your Palms and I'm in the market for a new one.

I've been using the Rhodiana (www.rhodiana.com) case for the past couple of
years and I like it well enough. For those unfamiliar with the case, it
uses a two piece system that has a plastic stud attached to the case and a
companion clip that attaches to your belt. The stud slides into the clip
and snaps in place. To remove it, you have to press a button on the clip.
It's a good design and allows the user to remove the case with one hand and
the case swivels when sitting.

But I've had issues with the case. The plastic stud is attached to the case
using a thick vinyl overlay that is sewn onto the case. The first stud (the
same kind that is sold at Best Buy/Circuit City that is intended to be
attached to cell phone batteries with adhesive) eventually broke off its
base.

Rhodiana generously replaced the stud (I had to send the case back to them).
Their new design used the same stud, but they now put a rivet in the stud to
attach it to the case more firmly. The stud did eventually break off the
plastic base, but the metal stud keeps it firmly on the case. I was
impressed with their new design even though the base still broke off.

Now there's a new problem. The stud is plastic as is the belt clip. The
clip wore out to where the case would come off without having to press the
button on the clip. This was remedied by buying a new clip sold at Best
Buy, Circuit City and other stores. I quickly realized, however, that the
case still came off without pressing the button on the clip. The problem is
that the plastic stud has worn a groove on the "bottom" that prevents it
from making a firm fit in the clip.

With all this said, I like a belt clip case that allows swiveling and easy
one-handed removal. However, if I am to keep a similar style case, I want a
metal stud like those found on leather cases from E&B (www.ebcases.com) or
Vaja (www.vajacases.com). I like the look and feel of neoprene cases like
those from Body Glove (www.goneo.com) and Op/Tech (www.optechusa.com), but I
haven't found any that have swivel clips much less metal ones.

I'm interested in hearing from anybody that has positive or negative
experience with any cases they own/ed. I'm interested in wearable cases
(belt clip) and have a preference for swivel models, but could be convinced
otherwise.

Thanks.
