Desktop manager == Palm Desktop
Hotsync manager == conduit manager
1) read the manual that came with your Palm
2) read the manual that came with the SDK
3) read the manual that came with the CDK
4) maybe read one of the 3rd party books (there is a web preview of an older
one on the Palmos website)
