Database malfunction

Ach.  This database problem is bizarre.

If I simply create a record for this database, and don't do anything at all
to it (except release it so it's not 'busy') then the palm crashes when I
exit the program.

I am closing the database before exit too.  What the heck is going on?  It
was working before just fine.
