The best ergonomic solutions are the Symbol 1500 and 1700,
which are Palm OS (r) units with built-in laser scanners, and
API's to support the scanner.
Both Symbol and PSC support SpringBoard scanners for
HandSpring units. Both supply API's for their scanners.
