Have you considered the possibility that you're writing outside the bounds
of the handle? For example, if you comment out all the string operations
between the lock and unlock, does it still crash? Have you tried running
this on the latest version of POSER using a modern (4.0) debug ROM? These
are just some ideas off the top of my head.
