FWIW. It appears that the issue between Mocha PPP and Visor handhelds is
that the desktop side expects RTS/CTS handshaking and never starts since
these signals are present on the Handspring serial port (on the cradle
connector). At least that's what I've noticied. I used a Diagnostic Module
(reference Springboard design) which includes a UART with hardware
handshaking and this seems to work OK with Mocha PPP.

Originally we were under the impression that the Mocha
PPP (tcp/ip transport layer which will allow
connection to a NT server) requires a PDA device with
PalmOS v3 or greater. But in actual fact the Mocha
does not work with Handspring Visor Deluxe :(  

Is there another third party product we can use to get
on a network using a pda with serial craddle with no
modem.
