Depending on the tools you are using, you just need to set the "copy
protection" bit on the prc file. This will prevent it from being beamed,
but there are tools out there that can change this option, so it won't
stop a determined person.
As far as the serial number goes *there is no guaruntee they are unique!!*
or that they even have a serial number. Only devices with FlashRAM will
have them, and they might change if the unit has an OS upgrade or
something. Any devices with regular ROM will not have a unique serial
number, and there are *many* of those, even new ones.
