So you are suggesting that the tiny little Palm OS API
implement all rarely used (in end user apps) features
of the ANSI standard C library, just so that you won't
have to write the code to do a rarely used conversion,
even when that code would have taken even fewer lines
than your post complaining about the lack of that capability?
Hint: You'll find the code in Plaugher's "The Standard C Library".
