Dear "Troy" (it's probably a fake name since there are no previous posts by
that name),
Insulting everyone on this group is not a very good way to try to get help.
It is certainly not any better than saying "RTFM".
Note, however, that this is an extremely helpful developer forum. More than
90% of all the messages posted here are questions or responses to those
questions. (Sometimes people waste some bandwidth letting off a little bit
of steam, as you apparently are doing.)
Furthermore, your complaint about responses that say "read the manual" or
"look in the KB" is totally off base. Why do you think Palm publishes the
manuals and maintains the KB? If an answer can be easily located in one of
these valuable resources, it is perfectly reasonable to tell the person who
asked that the answer is there. If they knew it was there, they wouldn't
have asked the question. If they actually had already checked the manuals
and the KB, then they would probably say something like "I read the docs,
but I don't understand them," or "I couldn't find anything in the KB, can
anybody help?" The correct answer to a question like that is either to
refer them to some documentation, or to explain the answer in other terms,
depending on what one thinks will be most helpful.
So, if you actually believe that it is unreasonable for us to tell you to
read the documentation or look at the KB, then you are seriously misinformed
about the purpose of this forum. If you just want to complain and insult
us, please go away. If you want to learn more about Palm OS programming and
ask questions when you have problems, try to be more courteous.
