I know you've already solved your problem, but I want to point out that it's
best to use this purgeAlarm flag to disable the display launch code if you
don't intend to do anything when you get the display launch code. I know
you're already doing this, but I just wanted to let anyone else reading this
know. It shouldn't make much difference, but in practice, there can be
problems with alarm sounds being interrupted due to the vchrAlarm being in
the key queue. This character is used by the alarm manager to invoke the
display launch code.
