Hi Eric,
    I have experienced this problem, too. In my case, I build a serial terminal to 
'listen' an especific hardware. I confirmed this
problem using the software PortMon and I verified that when the POSE uses the serial 
port to communicate with the hardware it
'cancels' the communication and nothing more is sent or received even with other 
terminal like the HyperTerminal of Windows. When I
install my application on a real device (m100) the communication is perfect even if I 
use baud rate at 115200 kbs.
    I am using m100 with PalmOS (updated) 3.5.3.
