I'd understand if a user thought he had to do a hard reset, but developers
should know about no-notify reset. Hold the up button while pressing the
reset pin on the back of the device. This will prevent the apps from being
notified of the reset, so the misbehaving app can't crash the device. It'll
also prevent beaming from working. Now you can delete the offending app and
do a normal reset. If it still crashes, you didn't get the right app - try
again. Don't stop until you can do a regular reset without crashing.

All this should be very familiar to Mac users. :)
