Error Encounterd : Free handle

Hi,
        
        I am running on CW7 Emulator v 3.2, 3.5 debug rom.
        May I know what causes a Free Handle?

        The following code generates this error

                Char *t = MemHandleLock(pPrefs->pH);

        Is there anything wrong with the code above?
