NS BASIC Provides Development Tools Taking Full Advantage of the Robust
Smartphone Feature Set

TORONTO August 14, 2001 -- NS BASIC Corporation announced today that NS
Basic/Palm fully supports the new Kyocera QCP 6035 smartphone, the
award-winning wireless communicator that unites a CDMA digital wireless
phone with a Palm OS organizer. One of the most widely used commercial
Palm OS development tools, Basic/Palm now supports the interfaces that
allow the full feature set of the Kyocera smartphone to be controlled
from a BASIC program.

"NS Basic for the Palm OS is the easiest way to develop for Palm Powered
devices," said George Henne, President of NS BASIC Corporation. "With the
extensions we've added for the Kyocera QCP 6035 smartphone, solutions can
be developed for a wider range of industries and applications."

The Kyocera QCP 6035 smartphone unites voice communications, text
messaging, e-mail and wireless Web access with the power of a Palm
OS-based organizer. It features a built-in speakerphone, voice-activated
dialing and a convenient jog-dial for accessing phone settings, contact
information and call history. With the Palm OS v3.5 and 8 MB of memory,
the QCP 6035 can run thousands of applications written for the Palm OS
platform. Kyoceras smartphone supports multiple wireless Web access
technologies, including HTML browsers with Secure Socket Layer (SSL)
encryption to provide security for confidential data, making the QCP 6035
a robust platform for m-commerce and enterprise information management.
Users can also access corporate or personal e-mail accounts using
integrated wireless e-mail applications.

"We are pleased to see NS BASIC add development support for the Kyocera
QCP 6035 smartphone," said Gary Koerper, Director of the Converged Device
business segment for Kyocera Wireless Corp. "NS BASIC is making it easier
for developers to create new Palm OS applications for the smartphone."

NS Basic allows developers who program with tools such as Visual Basic to
use their experience to develop applications for the Kyocera QCP 6035
smartphone. NS Basic is a complete, powerful development environment
enabling the development of applications with a true Palm look and feel.
