Yes, that makes perfect sense.. somewhere along the way, my mind fuzzed over
and blurred the line between ID and Version for the preference records. With
all my focus on the Get function, I forgot that the Set function also has a
version parameter and that is what gets returned....
Thanks for all the help to everyone.. would have saved myself much grief in
the first place if I had just exported the saved preferences and taken a
peek at what was there... that's what I get for trying to write code at 11pm
on a laptop battery while the power is out in the house. :)
