Categories are saved in the database's app info block, so you should be able
to figure out if your changes are getting saved or not by examining the app
info block. You could do this by exporting the database from Poser and then
opening it in a hex editor. The app info offset is at offset 0x34 in the
file. It ends where the first record starts (assuming there's no sort info
block). You may also be able to use PalmDebugger to examine the app info
block. Of course, you could use various database viewer apps, but that would
require you to exit your app, which could affect the outcome.
