Its possible to open wave files on all Palm devices -- just convert them
to PDB files on the desktop, sync them to the device, then use DmOpen.
However, most Palm devices don't have the hardware to playback the sound
files. The only ones that could do this out-of-the-box are the HandEra
330 and the TRGPro. Handspring Visor devices can playback WAV files
using the Beat Plus module. The Sony N710, while having audio playback
hardware, only exposes an API to let you control MP3 and ATRAC file
playback.
