I believe Mac lost a major opportunity by not providing a port
of the Mac OS to Intel processors during the Win 3.0 / 3.1
days. They'd have wiped Microsoft off the map.
But they were too concerned with being a computer manufacturer
with an in-house operating system to recognise their true strength
was in the OS not in the manufacturing.
