Even if you do get this to work, I think you'll want to avoid it: if my
memory serves me, I think there was a bug in some older OS versions that
meant user data associated with that application would be deleted along with
the old version. This would mean the user who's application was being
upgraded would discover that they'd lost all their data. Not good.
