Being in engineering, I don't know how pricing and marketing is being handled for V8, but I understand that we are planning on sending out a special offer to all registered users within the next two weeks. I'd suggest that you make sure you are registered with Metrowerks (contact MW sales to make sure) and hold tight to see what the promotional offer is. I know that if you bought a copy of CW for Palm OS R7 right now (street price is around $300 from online vendors, check with http://shopper.cnet.com/), you would be within our free upgrade window. However, upgrading from R6 to R7 using the special upgrade price ($189) would not entitle you to a free upgrade. I'm not totally sure of this -- MW sales has this info.
