Out of curiosity, would it be practical to charge different prices through different distributors? This would allow customers who really like Handango, for example, to pay a voluntary premium for using it. It might also encourage distributors to lower their cut, since they could lose business to competitors if they don't.
On the other hand, this could be a real pain to administer, and would the customers understand? I don't know.
