Hi people! I am Daren from Singapore (South East Asia).
I always wanted to go full scale on palm programming but due to need of attentions on my other programming works.. can't really concentrate.. so for now, I am starting playing with J2ME. I have codewarrior (C) and MobilSoft(VC++) but don't really know how to use them.. any guidelines for me on those? Ok my questions.. for j2me, I am planning to create a bus guide application. Now just an e-doc, but rather a application that will access a database (pdb) for the bus information. But I am curious or rather... I don't know how to create a pdb file without going through a prc file to create it. How do I create a pdb file, and populat it, so that my custom application can make use of it? Also, I found out that to create pdb through the application using j2me, I need to get registered or some sort before I can start creating any pdb files.. I am confused on this, anyone care to enlighten? Lastly, coding in j2me though its in java, it itself still quite laid back it seems.. is there any IDE-like tools that uses j2me? I herard of superwaba, took a look, but is it a program that utilises j2me.. or is it a program that adopts j2me and implement its own APIs, thus having the need to learn its API/programming conventions? Oh one more thing.. setting up j2me has never been really smooth for me... anyone can instruct me? cos I know there is alot of moving of files to and fro directories to be done... thanks people, have a nice halloween Daren -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/tech/support/forums/
