Creative Digital Publishing, Inc. recently released WorldFAQ Currencies, a comprehensive, easy-to-use currency converter for Palm OS devices. It contains detailed information on 184 currencies and precious metals, and lets users easily convert between currencies and control various display aspects, including font choice, field ordering, monetary precision, and sort order.
WorldFAQ Currencies users can update the program's currency rates from Creative Digital's web site using various Palm(tm)-compatible wired and wireless connections, including dial-up TCP/IP, Palm.Net(tm), smartphones like the Kyocera 6035, Palm handhelds that use the Mobile Internet Kit, and 802.11-based wireless connections. WorldFAQ Currencies can be used as a currency database by Palm developers. They can retrieve currency information from the program's database by either currency symbol or country code, display currency data from within their own applications, and let users optionally update the currency data.
