My company is looking into releasing our palm app on an SD or MultiMedia card. Does anyone know how this can be done? What's the rough cost per unit to produce a card? Are there companies that provide card duplicating services (like CD duplicators)?
As a convenience to our customers, we have been pre-installing our app on the Palm devices that we (typically) bundle with it. This involves hiring a temp to open up each box, install the batteries, and then install the app. Since we will now be bundling our app with (at least) m125s, and because we are expecting a much larger volume of orders, we're thinking of simply shipping a card along with the unopened Palm. Does this sound reasonable? Do you think this is a customer-friendly way to deliver Palm apps?
