This worked for me, but the way it works is clunky.
Say I want some help on WinDrawChars(). I have to use the mouse to select "WinDrawChars", then press the F1 key. This works. I really wish (SUGGESTION TIME), that I didn't have to select the function name (it should work the very same way a Ctrl-F3 search works) to get help on it. I should just need to stick the cursor on the function name, and press F1; I use this shortcut technique to search for function usage with Ctrl-F3. I also wish that if I right-clicked the function name, that "HELP" was one of the options in the dropdown menu. Am I missing something, or is the CW 8 demo missing the integrated API documentation feature mentioned on MW's Web site?
