Only Palm-compatible devices using the Dragonball VZ processor truely have
2 serial ports, but in most cases I've seen one is used for infrared and
the other for the external serial port.  Dragonball and Dragonball EZ
devices only have 1 serial port, and this is typically switched with extra
hardware between infrared, the external serial port, and whatever else the
device uses it for.  Kyocera smartphones, for example, seem to use it for
wireless communication as well... that's caused problems for people with
my software before.
