There is a sample code in the knowledge base called color deal that uses many of the drawing APIs. It was written in the OS 3.5 time frame, so it should be pretty up to date outside of 16 bit color and a couple of new bitmap APIs... But what do you mean by tie it all together? Are you trying to get some simple bitmaps and colorful lines/shapes on the screen or are you looking to do some animation?
